Springfield-Greene County Health Department hosts vaccination clinics

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – The Springfield-Greene County Health Unit and Jordan Valley Community Heath Center will host several COVID-19 vaccination clinics.
Health officials hope the clinics will attract students. Almost 24% of people aged 12 to 30 have been fully vaccinated, while more than 45% of all eligible residents of Greene County have been fully vaccinated. Cases among the 12-30 represent more than a third of the total cases so far in August.
Below is a list of opportunities for people to get vaccinated for the week of August 23-29:
Monday 23 August
- Back to school in Drury (SGCHD) – 935 N Summit Ave, Springfield from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Free vaccine: Pfizer (12+)
Tuesday 24 August
- Council of Churches (JVCHC) – 627 N Glenstone Ave from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Free vaccine: Pfizer (from 12 years old), Moderna (from 18 years old) or Johnson & Johnson (from 18 years old)
- OTC Back to School (SGCHD) – 1001 E Chestnut Expy, Springfield from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free vaccine: Pfizer (ages 12 and up)
- White River Conference Center (SGCHD) – 600 W Sunshine, Springfield from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Free vaccine: Pfizer (ages 12 and up)
- Battlefield Town Hall (JVCHC) – 5434 S Tower Dr, Battlefield from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Free vaccine: Pfizer (12+), Moderna (18+) or Johnson & Johnson (18+)
Wednesday 25 August
- Westside Health Department, by appointment only (SGCHD) – 660 S. Scenic, Springfield from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free vaccine: Pfizer (from 12 years old) or Moderna (from 18 years old), third doses available for immunocompromised
- OTC Back to School (SGCHD) – 1001 E Chestnut Expy, Springfield from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free vaccine: Pfizer (ages 12 and up)
- Fire station 1 (SGCHD) – 720 E Grand St, Springfield from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Free vaccine: Pfizer (12+) or Moderna (18+)

- Evangel University (SGCHD) – 1111 N Glenstone, Springfield from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free vaccine: Pfizer (12 years old)

- Third Dose Clinic at Westside Health Department, by appointment only (SGCHD) – 660 S. Scenic, Springfield from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free vaccine: Pfizer (from 12 years old) or Moderna (from 18 years old), this clinic is reserved for the third doses for the immunocompromised

- C-Street Farmer’s Marker (JVCHC) – 321 E Commercial St, Springfield from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free vaccine: Pfizer (12+), Moderna (18+) or Johnson & Johnson (18+)
Sunday 29 August
- Turning Point Church (JVCHC) – 1722 N National Ave from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Free vaccine: Pfizer (12+ years), Moderna (18+) or Johnson & Johnson (18+)
These opportunities are in addition to recurring immunization clinics at the Tampa Clinic at the Jordan Valley Community Health Center at 440 E. Tampa. Jordan Valley offers walk-in vaccinations for Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with extended hours Tuesday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. COVID-19 vaccines are also available by appointment or on foot. via CoxHealth and Mercy Hospital Springfield.
